Pulp-temperature instrumentation for cold treatment

Built to the tolerance a cold treatment schedule demands.

Stainless NTC probes for reefer containers, citrus and stone-fruit cold treatment, and sensor replacement programs — supplied across the Americas, Europe and Africa.

Independent manufacturer. Not affiliated with or endorsed by the United States Department of Agriculture. "USDA" refers to the cold treatment regulatory framework these probes are built to support.

Product

One probe, built around three things a cold-treatment audit checks first.

Accurate pulp-temperature reading, a sealed cable transition that survives a reefer cycle, and a paper trail that ties every unit back to its production batch.

Applications

Where this probe earns its place.

Cold chain & export

  • Cold treatment for citrus and fresh fruit exports
  • Marine refrigerated logistics
  • Exporters and cold chain operators

Service & equipment

  • Reefer container service and maintenance
  • Replacement sensor programs, container depots and PTI operations
  • Technical distributors

Quality & Validation

Every batch is built to be checked, not just trusted.

Each production run can be supported with dimensional inspection, electrical verification, insulation checks, sealing validation and calibration records. ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration is available through external laboratories on request.

FAQ

Questions a buyer actually asks before ordering.

What is a USDA cold treatment sensor (probe)?
It's a temperature probe used to monitor and record pulp temperature during a USDA APHIS cold treatment protocol — the process that holds fruit at a set temperature for a fixed number of days to eliminate pests before entering a market like the United States.
What's the difference between cold treatment schedules T107, T107-a and T108?
They're USDA APHIS schedules that set the required pulp temperature and duration: T107-a holds 1.11°C for 14 days, T107 holds 0.56°C for 16 days, and T108 holds 0.00°C for 18 days. Which one applies depends on the fruit, the pest risk and whether treatment happens in transit or in port.
Is this USDA probe certified or approved by USDA?
USDA doesn't certify individual probe brands — APHIS approves cold treatment facilities and protocols, not the sensor manufacturer. This probe is built to deliver the accuracy and batch traceability those protocols require. We're an independent manufacturer, not affiliated with or endorsed by USDA.
What sensor type and cable does the probe use?
A precision NTC thermistor in a stainless steel body, with a PUR marine-grade cable rated for refrigerated container and shipboard use.
Can I get a calibration certificate?
Yes. ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration is available through external laboratories on request, along with batch traceability and inspection records for every production run.
Where can I buy a USDA probe for reefer containers?
We supply reefer service networks, exporters and technical distributors directly across the United States, Chile and the rest of Latin America, Europe and Africa. Reach out through the contact section below for a quote.
